Support Farmer Veterans

Armed to Farm is a sustainable agriculture training program for military veterans with a unique, holistic approach to farm planning. We teach not only hands-on production techniques but also often-overlooked aspects of farming such as business planning, financial management, and goal setting. Since launching in 2013, we’ve partnered with many other veteran organizations and universities across the United States to train nearly 900 farmer-veterans from 43 states. It has been our privilege to see Armed to Farm alumni find emotional healing, create economic development opportunities, and lift up other veterans through their successful farm businesses. Please help us continue to arm these farmer-veterans with the knowledge, resources, and supportive peer network that will help them succeed in their farming careers.

Your gift will help us cover the cost of providing free lodging, meals, and transportation for veterans and their spouses or farming partners; stipends for the generous farmers who welcome us to learn on their farms; plus books, publications, and other resources that participants can take home and use long after the event. Your charitable donation will go directly to these costs—but the impact of your gift will expand far beyond our training, as these military veterans build successful farming careers that sustain their families, the land, and their communities.
